With over 50,000 households in our region and almost 130,000 people, the task of providing quality drinking water is extremely important. Our customers are accustomed to turning on their taps and receiving water on demand. This water is used for drinking, cooking, cleaning, bathing and watering gardens.
As a residential customer your are responsible for your water meter as well as water and sewerage pipes on the property side of your meter. This includes connection with our sewer branch which is usually inside the property boundary. Further help and advice about your responsibilities can be found here and in our Customer Charter.
We encourage our customers to minimise water use in their daily life by implementing water saving measures such as following our Permanent Water Saving Rules, having shorter showers and running the dishwasher only when it is full. Installation of water smart products such as showerheads, washing machines and toilets can also result in significant savings.
