18 February Tongala 9.00pm UPDATE: Water storage levels have increased to 50% and are expected to return to 100% overnight. You may resume normal water use in line with Permanent Water Saving Rules. Thank you for your patience whilst our staff worked to fix the issue. 

4.30pm UPDATE: Water Treatment Plant is operational however it will take some time to refill treated water storage tanks which are currently below 30%. Please continue to conserve water this evening. We expect tanks to fill by late tonight. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding whilst we worked to fix the issue.

CONSERVE WATER: Due to issues at the water treatment plant overnight TONGALA is experiencing water supply issues. Please only use water for essential indoor needs whilst our staff work to rectify the issue and refill storages. Water is currently being tankered to supplement supply. 6 February Picola INTERRUPTION TO WATER SUPPLY: Customers in Picola will experience water supply interruptions on WEDNESDAY 6 FEBRUARY 2019 from 9am to 4pm while GVW staff clean the water mains to improve water quality.
To minimise the inconvenience please: store water in containers for drinking and cooking, fill your sink/bath with water for washing and flushing the toilet, and turn off any appliances that use water.
The cleaning process removes materials that have built up on the internal lining of the pipe and improves water quality. Following cleaning, some discolouration of the water may occur for a brief period.
The method of cleaning runs compressed air into the water mains to enhance the cleaning process. The aeration of the water may give the water a milky appearance - this is harmless and will disappear after a short time.
We suggest you flush the water to your property by running the tap closest to the meter for several minutes following these works.
