Community Education provides opportunities for local communities to discover more about the services we provide. Community groups may request tours, talks and activities covering a wide range of topics including Choose Tap, water treatment, wastewater management and reuse of recycled water.
We also support the Goulburn Broken Waterwatch program and can assist community groups or interested individuals to monitor the water quality of their local waterway. National Water Week is an event held each year during October that encourages the community to take part in water related activities.
Our Community Education Program details activities on offer. Please complete our online booking form if your community group is interested in taking part in our program.
GVW Tap Water Tykes
Tap Water Tykes is a kids club for children under 10 that focuses on water supply, conservation and disposal. Working alongside Terry and Tessa Tap, children will learn about water in the Goulburn Valley through games, giveaways, competitions and tips on using water.
GVW invites all children of customers to register to be in the kids club. We will send out newsletters inviting them to participate in National Water Week and Tap Water Tyke specific competitions, as well as including colouring in, activity ideas and water saving tips.
