Recycled water release in Kilmore
18 June 2018
Treated water from Goulburn Valley Water's (GVW) Kilmore Wastewater Management Facility (WMF) will be released into Kilmore Creek over the coming weeks.
GVW Wastewater and Recycling Coordinator, Mr Stuart Harris, said the decision was made to release the recycled water due to upgrade works to meet future demands. "GVW will commence the release of water into Kilmore Creek in mid-June 2018.”
The water being released has been fully treated and meets Environment Protection Authority (EPA) Class C standards. "Our EPA licence allows for periodic releases and customers can be assured that the recycled water in Kilmore meets EPA standards."
