Treated wastewater from Goulburn Valley Water's (GVW) Mansfield Wastewater Management Facility (WMF) will be released into Fords Creek over coming weeks in consultation with the EPA.
GVW’s Wastewater and Recycling Coordinator Stuart Harris said higher than average inflows to the facility over the past 12 months had prompted the decision to release the recycled water.
The water being released has been fully treated and meets Class C standards.
