Nagambie Water Treatment Plant
The $5.5 million upgrade of the Nagambie water treatment plant, on Filson St, is underway, with the build expected to take 12 months to complete. The project will include an upgrade of the raw water pump station located near the boardwalk at Lake Nagambie, which may impact recreation in the area. More information will be provided closer to the date where this is the case.
Once completed, the upgraded plant will increase the capacity of the Nagambie plant from 3ML/day to 6ML/day of quality drinking water.
The works at Nagambie will ensure Nagambie residents have sufficient water during the hotter months of the year and will reduce the need to tanker water from surrounding areas. Together the recently constructed clear water storage tank and upgraded plant will improve Goulburn Valley Water’s service to customers and visitors to the area.
