As of 1 July 2009, new water and sewerage service fees and volumetric (water usage) tariffs became available. These tariffs are in accordance with the Essential Services Commission's determinations of Goulburn Valley Water's 2008-2013 water plan.
Goulburn Valley Water's tariffs are based on the User Pays system. Customers that have water and sewerage available to their property are charged a standard rate for the provision of the services and an additional usage charge based on the volume of water measured by their property meter.
