Kilmore recycled water release
15 June 2017
Recycled water from Goulburn Valley Water's (GVW) Kilmore Wastewater Management Facility (WMF) will be released into Kilmore Creek over the coming weeks.
GVW Wastewater and Recycling Coordinator, Stuart Harris, said the decision was made to release the recycled water due to a combination of wet weather events in early autumn and increased flows into the facility.
"Design capacity of the facility has been exceeded so GVW will commence the release of excess water into Kilmore Creek in late June.”
The water being released has been fully treated and meets Environment Protection Authority (EPA) Class C standards.
