Kilmore Water Main Replacement
01 May 2017
Goulburn Valley Water will be replacing ageing mains in Kilmore during the next month as part of their extensive water main replacement program.
Project manager, Ray Russell, said that "the works will improve the reliability of water supply to these areas and significantly reduce the number of bursts”.
GVW will replace 643m of water main underneath both the road and nature strip along Patrick St, between Union St and Bourke St.
During the works, supply may be interrupted, if this is the case, the affected households and businesses will be notified directly.
Pedestrians should remain clear of the works to ensure their safety at all times and avoid the site where possible.
The works are expected to be completed in three weeks and will be undertaken by construction company DKM Utility Services on behalf of Goulburn Valley Water.
More information on the water main replacement program is available on the Goulburn Valley Water website at www.gvwater.vic.gov.au/projects.
