Stage 2 Water Restrictions again for Kilmore, Wandong and Heathcote Junction 20 February 2009 Goulburn Valley Water has advised that Stage 2 water restrictions will again apply in Kilmore, Wandong and Heathcote Junction as from Tuesday 24 February 2009. These restrictions replace the Stage 4 restriction introduced on 8 February following fire damage to the Kilmore water treatment plant. Goulburn Valley Water’s Managing Director, Peter Quinn, said that temporary repairs to the treatment plant had been completed and that high quality water was again being produced. “On behalf of the Corporation I would like to thank our customers for their cooperation in reducing water use over the last two weeks” said Mr Quinn. Key elements of Stage 2 water restrictions for private gardens are outlined below: RESIDENTIAL and COMMERCIAL GARDENS and LAWNS
Alternate days means that properties with an odd street number may operate a watering system between the set hours on odd numbered days of the month and properties with even numbers or no number on even numbered days of the month. All properties can water on the 31st day of the month.
