Stage 1 Water Restrictions for Longwood 6 May 2009 Goulburn Valley Water is pleased to announce that water restrictions for Longwood are to be eased from Stage 3 to Stage 1 effective from Monday 11 May 2009. Goulburn Valley Water’s Managing Director, Mr Peter Quinn said that water restrictions were able to be eased because the recent rainfall has resulted in the filling of Nine Mile Creek Reservoir. Key elements of Stage 1 water restrictions for private gardens are outlined below: RESIDENTIAL and COMMERCIAL GARDENS and LAWNS
Alternate days means that properties with an odd street number may operate a watering system between the set hours on odd numbered days of the month and properties with even numbers or no number on even numbered days of the month. All properties can water on the 31st day of the month. Please see our Water Restrictions page for full details on Stage 1 water restrictions, including details of water restrictions applying to sporting grounds and commercial premises, or by calling our 24 hour customer service centre on FREE CALL 1800 454 500. Mr Quinn said that the Corporation appreciated the Longwood community’s co-operation with water restrictions to date and requests that the community continues to conserve water wherever possible.
“Stage 1 water restrictions are in place for all other towns supplied by
Goulburn Valley Water except Euroa and Violet Town where Stage 2 water
restrictions apply,” said Mr Quinn. Authorised By P.A. Quinn, 104-110 Fryers Street Shepparton
