Nagambie Water Treatment Plant Upgrade 8 May 2009 Goulburn Valley Water will be upgrading the Nagambie Water Treatment Plant during the week of 11May to 15May 2009. Goulburn Valley water has appointed Veolia Water & Technology Systems to undertake the upgrade. The Nagambie Water Treatment plant is a Microfiltration plant which uses membrane technology to treat the town water supply. The existing high pressure membranes will be replaced with new technology membranes that will now operate under a low pressure system. The upgrade involves the installation of 90 low pressure membranes to replace the older high pressure membrane cells. To install the new technology the treatment plant will be shut down during the day to for up to 9 hours at a time. The town will not be without water during this period as the storage tank will be full prior to each shut down. However we do ask the customers to minimise their water usage between 9:00am and 6:00pm on each of the days of 12 May to 14 May 2009. The plant should recover treated water capacity each night. If you have any questions, concerns or are interested in the project please contact, Neil Healey at the Corporation on 03 5832 0414.
