Goulburn Valley Water Situation for Alexandra, Eildon and Thornton 10 February 2009 Goulburn Valley Water’s Managing Director Mr Peter Quinn, has confirmed that the water supply for Alexandra, Eildon and Thornton is secure and safe to drink without boiling. “We urge our customers in these towns to minimise their water usage so that we can maintain the water storage levels,” said Mr Quinn. “If these towns are threatened by the fires then all available water will be needed for fire fighting activities.”
