Change to Watering Hours

Goulburn Valley Water has announced that the watering hours under stage 1 water restrictions have been amended for the autumn/winter period effective Friday 20 March 2009.

Goulburn Valley Water’s Public Relations Officer, Mary Connelly-Gale said that the Corporation has adjusted the evening watering hours for lawns and gardens.  “Our customers can use their manual watering system in the morning between 6am and 8am and in the evening between 5pm and 7pm on alternate days.”

“Automatic watering systems can be used between midnight and 4am on alternate days.”

Alternate days means if your property number is odd (1,3,5 etc) you can water on the odd days of the month and if your property number is even (2,4,6 etc) or you do not have a property number then you can water on the even days of the month. “On the 31^st day of the month all properties can water.”

Longwood residents should note that they are still on Stage 4 water restrictions which restricts the use of water outside the home.
