Improving Customer Services

Goulburn Valley Water has recently realigned its Technical Services department to further improve its level of customer service.

Goulburn Valley Water’s General Manager- Technical Services Mr Allen Gale said that the restructure will benefit customers by providing ready access to professional advice within the one department. “The restructure is part of our vision at Goulburn Valley Water to be a leader in water management delivering quality customer services.”

Goulburn Valley Water’s Technical Customer Services coordinator Paul Kerrins said “It’s like a one-stop-shop.” The restructuring will bring the four areas of planning referrals, servicing new developments, property connections and 24 hours customer service together. “This allows the Corporation staff to quickly provide customers with accurate and up-to-date advice,” he said.

Mr Kerrins said that the specialist technical staff that customers have previously dealt with will still be available to support the Technical Customers Group. “This will guarantee ongoing understanding of the customer’s background information and help with internal communications within the department.” An additional advantage for customers is that there will be no more transferring customers between different departments.

Goulburn Valley Water 24 hour Customer Service Centre will continue to provide assistance for faults and emergencies via the Free Call number 1800 45 45 00.
