Waterwise Garden Award to be Announced

Goulburn Valley Water’s 2007 Waterwise Garden Award will be announced at the Goulburn Broken Water Week Award Ceremony being held in Shepparton tomorrow night.

Goulburn Valley Water’s Public Relation’s Officer Ms Mary Connelly-Gale said that the Corporation is proud to be a partner in the Goulburn Broken Water Week committee.  “The committee has organised a fantastic event for tomorrow night and the winner of our Waterwise Garden Award will be announced at the ceremony.”

“The three finalists in the Waterwise Garden Award are Linda Cusworth from Mooroopna, James & Julie Daniells from Kilmore and Lois and Duncan Ryan from Mooroopna,” said Ms Connelly-Gale. “Each garden is completely different and all deserve to win.”

Ms Connelly-Gale said that the award ceremony will also announce the winner of the community and school competitions that the committee organised.  “The three community competitions included writing, photographic and quilting,” she said. “The school competitions included Create-A-Critter and Patch (like a poster).”

“In addition to the Waterwise Garden Award and the community and school competition, the awards that have been conducted by Goulburn Broken CMA, Greater Shepparton City Council and Goulburn Murray Water will also be awarded on the night,” said Ms Connelly-Gale.
