Vandals Cause Confusion 2 November 2007 Water restrictions signs in Yea and Molesworth are continually being vandalised which is causing some confusion in the community. Goulburn Valley Water’s District Manager Mr Ken Turner said that the Corporation has had to change the sign a number of times because vandals are changing the Stage 1 water restrictions sign to Stage 4. “We have had a number of customers in Yea and Molesworth call up to confirm what stage of water restrictions they are on,” he said. “Most are elderly and are becoming quite stressed because they don’t know if they are allowed to water their garden or not.” “This act of vandalism is inconsiderate to the people who live in these communities and are probably neighbours of the vandals,” said Mr Turner. “We have notified the police of the problem and if it continues and requested that they prosecute anyone found to be vandalising the signs.” ![]()
