Stage 3 Water Restrictions Now in Force For Buxton, Marysville, Pyalong, Thornton and Yea - 1st July 2007

Stage 3 water restrictions come into operation in Buxton, Marysville, Pyalong, Thornton & year Sunday 1st July 2007. 

Goulburn Valley Water, Chief Executive Mr Laurie Gleeson, said other towns, such as Alexandra, Cobram, Shepparton and Seymour will be going onto Stage 4.  “Stage 3 water restrictions ban lawn watering altogether and other garden watering on Monday, Thursdays and Fridays Days and it also limits the use of garden sprinklers to 4 hours two days per week between the hours of 7 am to 9 am and 5 pm to 7 pm for manual watering systems and between 12 midnight and 4 am for automatic watering systems.”

“Properties with an odd street number can water on either or both Sunday and Wednesday and properties with an even street number can water on either or both Saturdays and Tuesday,” he said.

Mr Gleeson said that all Goulburn Valley Water customers should have received a letter, brochure and fridge card, by now.  “If any customer has not received this they can contact our 24 hour customer service centre on Free Call 1800 45 45 00 and a set will be sent out to them.”
