Coloured Water at Euroa 4 December 2007 Some Euroa residents may have experienced coloured water on Tuesday 4 December. This was due to an electrical contractor drilling a hole through a water main. Goulburn Valley Water’s Manager Operations Mr Bruce Anderson said that on Tuesday morning a contractor was installing electrical cables in the Seven Creeks Park. “The contractor drilled a hole through our 225mm diameter water main in the park.” “This hole caused a very high water flow which disturbed sediment in various water mains and resulted in coloured water being reported in various areas within Euroa.” Mr Anderson said that Corporation’s staff isolated the damaged section of water main and repaired the damage. “After the repair was completed our staff flushed the mains to clear all the coloured water.” Any incidents of coloured water should be reported immediately to Goulburn Valley Water’s 24 hour Customer Service Centre on Free Call 1800 45 45 00. Mr Anderson said that the contractor could expect to receive a hefty bill for the damage, which is why it’s important to Dial Before You Dig to obtain the location of water mains. Authorised By L.J.
