Wastewater Treatment Operators

This position is responsible for providing assistance in operating a number of key Wastewater Management Facilities in the following areas of Shepparton, Mooroopna, Tatura, Kyabram, Rushworth, Murchison, Girgarre and Tongala. It is expected that these plants meet industry requirements of best practice and EPA licences held by the Corporation

Main Duties include:

• Assist in operating designated wastewater management facilities in accordance with established procedures including collecting wastewater samples for analysis. 

• Assist in monitoring inflow and outflow and performance of each plant and record keeping.

• Operate effluent disposal and reuse systems to comply fully with EPA licence conditions

• Assist in accurately recording and documenting treated effluent flows and other parameters.

• Assist with the management of livestock on authority land, and undertake farming activities.

• Undertake maintenance work as required to maintain operating reliability of treatment plant.

• Assist in the construction of new wastewater assets.
